Adoption Fees

Why Do Rescues Have Adoption Fees?

Along with daily care costs, the adoption fees help Cactus Animal Shelter cover vaccination and medical prep costs for the pets.

Adoption Fees:

Dogs
$500.00 Adoption Fee
Cats
$400.00 Adoption Fee
Fees for Dogs with special needs will be determined based upon circumstances and may result in a fee reduction.

Adoption Inclusions:

Along with daily care costs, the adoption fees help Cactus Animal Shelter cover vaccination and medical prep costs for the dogs. At adoption, Cactus Animal Shelter dogs will be current on their vaccines and will have the following:

Dogs
  • Rabies (1 yr. or 3 yr.)
  • Distemper (DHLPP or DHLPP-C)
Cats
  • Rabies & FVRCP
  • Test for Feline Leukemia & AIDS
